> Historical texture attribution is retained below. In the current open-lab edition, only the plaster color map is used by the room. The listed wood/fabric maps remain bundled. Plaster/fabric roughness maps were not in the requested download list and are not bundled.

# Asset provenance

- `dist/assets/brain-atlas.json`: derived from official MaleCNS v1.0 body annotations, CC-BY 4.0. Attribution: FlyEM / HHMI Janelia, University of Cambridge, MRC Laboratory of Molecular Biology and Google Research. Source: https://male-cns.janelia.org/download/ . Sampled up to 140 finite soma locations per superclass; coordinates converted from 8 nm voxels to micrometers. Original IDs retained. Source and graph hashes embedded in the file. No skeleton/ROI mesh is included.
- `dist/materials.js`, `dist/scene.js`: original editable procedural material maps and geometry, under the project LICENSE. Geometry remains original procedural source; no Blender files or downloaded furniture models are included.
- `dist/vendor`: Three.js and OrbitControls, upstream MIT license retained.
- Google Fonts CSS is an optional network font request; the interface falls back to sans-serif when unavailable. No font binary is bundled.

## Sunlit Loft texture maps

Poly Haven assets are CC0: https://polyhaven.com/license . Downloaded 8 September 2026 from the source page's 4K JPEG links, then resized locally for browser delivery. Color data is preserved; normal/roughness maps remain linear data textures. No hotlinked textures.

| Bundled files | Source and authors | Delivery size |
| --- | --- | --- |
| wood-diff, wood-nor_gl, wood-rough | https://polyhaven.com/a/wooden_floor_02 — Charlotte Baglioni, Rico Cilliers | 2048 × 2048 JPEG |
| plaster-diff, plaster-nor_gl, plaster-rough | https://polyhaven.com/a/plastered_wall_02 — Charlotte Baglioni | 1024 × 1024 JPEG |
| fabric-col_01, fabric-nor_gl, fabric-rough | https://polyhaven.com/a/fabric_pattern_05 — Rob Tuytel | 1024 × 1024 JPEG |

Paths are under dist/assets/textures. The wood scan is used for the floor and a selected portion for joinery. The fabric color map is used on a pillow; fabric normal detail is shared by upholstered materials in WebGL. The compatibility renderer displays color and opacity maps but does not implement normal/roughness shading. plaster-rough and fabric-rough are included for further material tuning.

## Flight update

The simplified shared world fly geometry, contrasting display palette, combined inspector and performance changes are original project code under the project license. Detailed portrait geometry and existing texture source attributions above remain applicable. No additional third-party assets were introduced.

## flylab edition

- `dist/assets/flylab-logo.png`: supplied by the user on 10 September 2026, copied byte-for-byte. The header crop is CSS only. No license beyond the user’s authorization to use this asset in flylab is inferred.
- `dist/vendor/RectAreaLightUniformsLib.js` and `RectAreaLightTexturesLib.js`: Three.js r180, MIT, copied from the upstream `examples/jsm/lights/` directory. See `dist/vendor/LICENSE.txt`.
- `dist/scene.js`: edited procedural lab and retained original portrait/food geometry under the project license.
- Fixture diagram positions from `tests/prepare_fixture.py` are synthetic test coordinates, not MaleCNS data. All fixture activity is measured by the supplied LIF engine.

- `dist/assets/x-logo.svg`: X brand mark from https://svgl.app/library/x_dark.svg, used to link to the user-provided X profile. X is a trademark of its owner.
